I just ran into one of my girlfriends who lives in my building. She was returning from a mini getaway vacation for one. She called it Airbnb.
I downloaded the app and saw some very real possibilities. I’m not too far from The Poconos.
I saw that the prices were reasonable and that some Airbnb’s would allow my dog.
I’m single and have been for some time. Once I get my confidence up, an Airbnb would be just fine!
(You see, I’ve never traveled alone before).
Really the sky is the limit in recovery. I’ve come so far. I can reach for the stars ⭐️
With my dog at my side I am stronger and can do more.
That sounds like a fabulous little getaway! I love travelling by myself. I found it felt a bit awkward at first, but then I pretty quickly started thinking hey, look at me, look at what I’m doing all by myself!!!

That sounds great! I’ve got some preparation to do. Like getting more used to my GPS.

One step at a time. It’s great to look around and think of plans, it can motivate you and help get your excitement up.

Thank you. I’m really trying to become more independent. Being able to travel alone would be a major milestone for me.

Cool. I have another friend who is taking karate lessons. I need to become empowered.

Is there any way to know for sure that it’s legit? Can you be taken for your money easily?

I’m sorry, I don’t know. The Airbnb was rented by my daughter’s boyfriend, for the occasion of my granddaughter’s wedding. It was a very large house, a mansion really. I gave some cash to pay for my share.
