Where I’m At With My Weight

So I lost a lot of weight on my own without NutriSystem or Jenny Craig, so how did I do it?

A lot of self talk. Reminding myself that I was ok and that I’d had plenty to eat.

I was once married and my husband at the time would say that eating was an inconvenience. That he would have to stop doing what he was doing in order to eat.

So I learned that staying busy was key.

Also what we tell ourselves.

(The only exception from my own personal experience is being on certain psych meds that stimulate appetite. Some meds interfere with the appetite control center. I’ve been there, done that, so to these people, I give an out. It’s not your fault).

I lost 33 pounds to be exact through envisioning a thinner, lovelier me, and reminding myself that I wasn’t really that hungry. That I was ok and had eaten just 6 or 8 hours ago.

I use overnight as an advantage. If you sleep 8 hours and wake up and don’t eat right away you can conceivably fast for 12-16 hours.

Get through the burn, know that weight loss is imminent, and delay eating for another 4-6 hours.

I do take vitamins by the way. An over 50 multi vitamin plus Citracal and Vitamin D3 and also Biotin for hair, skin, and nails.

Ok so I’ve been at a plateau now for awhile. I haven’t been able to budge my weight.

I am walking briskly for 20 minutes three times a day. All the while eating one balanced, healthy meal a day.

I can live this way I say.

Slowly but surely I am losing one more pound and then another.

I keep my eye on the prize and envision a thinner me.

I am also growing my hair long again,

Envision your goal keeping your eye on the prize and the rest will fall into place.

You are worth the effort! You’ve been beautiful all along and just didn’t know it! Embrace yourself!

We really don’t require that much food 😊 💕 ✨

      1. I’ve lost twenty but have not cut out any meals and I have 2 pieces of chocolate a day. This is a life chaange for me so I want to be able to stick to it. I want to lose another 20. Have a great weekend.

      2. That’s great progress Melinda! You will get there! Keep going! I think the secret lies in making new habits. What I’m doing might be hard to sustain but walking adds to my daily structure. I have too much free time on my hands 😊 💕

      3. Walking is the way to go! As soon as the heatwave ends here, I’ll take to walking. I lost weight at the beginning of the pandemic because we were going to the park almost everyday.
