When my dog draws a boundary I respect it.
That’s more than I can say for some other people when it comes to me.
When Luna won’t let me groom her I don’t force the issue. That is Luna telling me, “No.” She is a little dog, let her have that. That is her power.
She will let a stranger at the grooming salon do that and more to her, however.
I’m not going to punish my dog for being a little defiant. That is her spirit. I would never want to break it.
It was done to me and I just couldn’t take it.
People need to learn how to let others be.

It’s coming along very slowly, unfortunately. I wanted it done and ready to publish years ago. Sigh. I am still writing in my memoir, every single day. The good thing is that I have gained a lot of insight and healing through writing my story. So it’s been worth it, for that reason alone. But oh my goodness… I will be so happy when it’s finished. I’m praying I live long enough to see that day!
